Hugs for Houston Raises $1000!
STUDENTS AND STAFF RAISE $1,000 AND OFFER PRAYERS FOR HOUSTON AND THE GULF COAST REGION
Lourdes Central Catholic School’s theme for the school year is “Love Made Visible”. Last Friday, students and staff took this call to action to express their love, prayer, and support to those affected by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
Lourdes Central Catholic School students and staff gathered for the annual outdoor “grotto mass” and sent a virtual hug to fellow Catholic School students, teachers, and their families in Houston. Students also said more than 350 rosaries Friday to offer prayers to those affected by the storms. With a $3 donation students and staff were allowed to dress in “spirit gear” and raised $1,000 for Catholic Social Students. Catholic Social Services will use donations to provide relief to those affected by the hurricanes.
