2017-2018 Boys Basketball

The 2017-2018 Boys Basketball Season was another successful one for the Knights. The Knights had a slow start to the season going 4-5 in the month of December. The Knights finished the regular season 11-3. In district play they Knights won 3 games including a District Final win over Walthill a rematch of the 2016 State Championship game, to make it to their 4th trip to the state tournament in 5 years, and 6th tournament appearance in school history. During the State Tournament Lourdes CC was able to defeat Paxton 63-57, Johnson-Brock 55-47 and Kenesaw in the Championship game 32-25 to become the first team in Class D1 history to win Back to Back to Back State Championships.

The Lourdes Central Catholic Boys Basketball Team members were seniors Quinten Vasa, Jack Funke, Daniel Perdomo, Thomas Ragland, Ben Miller, Neilas Tamosuinas, Sam Baumert and Brandon Fredrichs. Juniors were Thomas Carpenter, Colter Fulton, Andrew Aldana, Cristian Watkins and Johnny Heng. Sophomores were Tyler Tellez, Damon Honeysuckle, Tanner Kochanowicz, Will Eppert, Cade Lee and Colby Howard. Freshman were Max Baumert, Will Welsh, Drew Walton, Harrison Benedict, Aidan Daly, Zach Whitten, Layne Epp, and Lucas Welch. Head Coach for the Knights was Joe Tynon, and he was assisted by Brandon Glynn and Gabe Rohde. Student Managers were Blake Miller, Will Funke, Aidan Aldana and Brady Schnitzer.

2016-2017 Boys Basketball

The 2016-17 Boys Basketball Season was another successful one for the Knights. The Knights were able to defend their 2015-16 Pioneer Conference Championship with another Pioneer Conference Championship. The Knights also qualified for the State Basketball Tournament for the 5th time in school history. During the State Tournament the Knights were able to claim the 2017 Class D1 State Championship and their second State Championship and second in school history. Lourdes Central Catholic become the fourth school in Class D1 State History to win back to back State Championships and the first to do so since 2003.

The Lourdes Central Catholic Boys Basketball team members were seniors Hayden Miller, Brock Hogeland, Dylan Paap, Emmanuel Encina-Garcia, Ivan Valdovino and Jack Bakula. Juniors were Sam Baumert, Ben Miller, Thomas Ragland, Quinten Vasa, Jack Funke, Brandon Fredrichs, Neilas Tamosiunas, and Daniel Perdomo. Sophomores were Colter Fulton, Andrew Aldana, and Thomas Carpenter. Freshman were Tanner Kochanowicz, Cade Lee, James Kearney, Colby Howard, Tyler Skikus, and Will Eppert. Head Coach for the Knights was Joe Tynon, and he was assisted by Adam Vogt, Brandon Glynn. Student Managers were William Welsh, Blake Miller, Will Funke, Aidan Aldana and Brady Schnitzer.
